This is the push I needed to get serious about cleaning out to the loves in my closet!

Lindsay Sword's avatar

Do it! It feels so good!! And gets us ready for fall ;)

Hi Lindsay- love the Megan Pants… do you happen to have a pair of the Megan Jeans, and if so, do they fit similarly? Did you need to tailor your Megan Pants? I have a pair of the jeans and they seem to be a tad too long

Lindsay Sword's avatar

Hi! I don’t have the jeans but I haven’t tailored the pants at all, and I’m short! 5’1!

KristinKW's avatar

Thanks Lindsay- I am short too so I was curious

Love the edit, and all the ways you can re-wear your favorites - because that’s what I teach for all the time! I also need a huge closet clean out but will have to happen once the kids go back to school 🫠❤️😂

Lindsay Sword's avatar

I’m a huge fan of rewearing our loves! Ok fair enough that the closet clean-out will have to wait, that makes total sense!! If you’re anything like me, I need hours of uninterrupted time and no one running and jumping into my clothing piles 😂

Yes! Wear what you love. I needed that reminder - sometimes I get too focused on creating a Pinterest-worthy outfit, but who cares! Feeling good in what I'm wearing trumps that every time.

Lindsay Sword's avatar

I love putting care into our outfits, but ultimately what we feel best in is what is going to look best. That peace + comfort will shine through, as I think it often does with you!

Let love lead the way!! Here’s to not overthinking and just wearing things that excite and make us smile.

Also these bather and book pairings are just what i needed today

Lindsay Sword's avatar

It sounds so simple!! Thank you, I hope that’s on all of our to-do lists soon!! 🏊‍♀️ 📖

Wear what you love- yes! The only way to be.

Lindsay Sword's avatar

How do I get so off course sometimes 😂

Loved this, Lindsay! The Delia’s catalogue image gave me MAJOR flashbacks lollll

Lindsay Sword's avatar

Remembering the feeling of studying those catalogs are among my most visceral memories! I am taken right back to the possibility I felt looking at those clothes and imagining myself wearing them. I can still recall those models and the copy on the pages SO well!!

I think it’s so important to dress in items that spark joy or at the very least make you feel good. I wore an old pair of pants the other day that just don’t fit right anymore and had to remind myself that it’s ok to not wear something it doesn’t make me feel good. Thanks for always checking us!

I try to think of “sunk cost” when it comes to my clothes. The money has been spent so if something no longer has value in making me feel good, it’s not worth keeping in my closet, especially now that there are good ways to cycle it to its next life. It had its moment and that’s enough! It’s hard to let things go though!

Natalia Cropper's avatar

So true! I need to remind myself of this more often.

Pool and book time!!! 💦

Nothing better!

The joy of realizing that I OWN THOSE Nili pants. I’ve always struggled to style them but now I have 900 reference photos, so look out. 👀

Lindsay Sword's avatar

Hahahahaha just what you always wanted, 15 looks of Lindsay in a single pair of pants!! I feel like a little sweater tank and ballet flats and those pants would be perfect in FL!?

Evonne Sturm's avatar

Your interpretation of Celine is spot on. I like your version even better than the campaign!

Lindsay Sword's avatar

What a compliment, Evonne, thank you!! Saves me many $$$$$ on that necklace 😂

Anna's avatar

The baseball sweater is perfection

Lindsay Sword's avatar

My sports-themed wardrobe might be becoming a problem 😂

Celeste's avatar

I love the outfits with the books !

Lindsay Sword's avatar

Thank you! Anything you’ve read lately that you love?

Celeste's avatar

When in Rome has been on my to-read list for a while, maybe this summer will be the right time ! Not in the same genre but I just finished “This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me” and it was so good ! The heroine is teleported from our world to the world of her favorite fantasy book, and she must do her best to survive with her knowledge. It was very entertaining!

Lindsay Sword's avatar

I love the sound of that!! The When in Rome series is kind of like eating a warm chocolate chip cookie: sweet + comforting!

Celeste's avatar

It sounds lovely and that's why I'm keeping it for just the right mood !

Natalia Herrera's avatar

Such a good post! Those Nili pants are super cute and you look great. I may have to check them out! You always have great outfits ideas! ❤️

Lindsay Sword's avatar

Thank you so much, Natalia! I look how they are a little sleeker of a chino!

Natalia Herrera's avatar

That’s what I like! I’m not super fan of chino pants so this it’s an alternative

Fanny Adams's avatar

Lindsay we’re clearly on the same wavelength right now! Loved this.

Lindsay Sword's avatar

Love when that happens!

Hey Mrs. Solomon on Style's avatar

Of course I missed out on that Bode but my mom got it! I just love the emotion you captured. And your outfit for Lilly!

Lindsay Sword's avatar

I hemmed and hawed because it was a decent amount of $ for a sparkly cotton shirt but it truly spoke to me and now it’s one of my favorite items I own. I love that your mom has it!!

Hey Mrs. Solomon on Style's avatar

You were so right!
